Daniyar Nurseitov, disciplinary expert of KMG Engineering LLP, participated in the II International Oil and Gas Summit, where he presented a unique project: “Automated intelligent system for industrial safety “TUMAR”.
The main goal of the project development is to prevent occurrence of incidents and increase measures to reduce negative impacts on employees during dangerous technological operations during underground and capital repair of wells. KazMunayGas NC JSC follows the principle of zero tolerance for losses and damages related to accidents and incidents. Lowering and raising operations are a process that is difficult to control and requires reduction of the human factor. The analysis of current state-of-the-art IT solutions has shown that software solutions for personal protective equipment definition only define helmets. Dangerous areas are defined only as a protected area without taking into account the type of ongoing operation and time. The system being developed will recognize dangerous zones taking into account the ongoing operations, warn employees and control the use of all personal protective equipment.
– The tasks that we plan to realize in the process of the project implementation are to determine the location of an employee in a dangerous zone during a technological operation with the help of computer vision, to determine the presence of personal protective equipment on employees with the help of computer vision, to fix the incident and control by a specialist of the industrial safety service, – said the speaker about the work of the system.
Based on his data, with the help of intelligent system “TUMAR” it will be possible to recognize on video cameras the occurrence of dangerous situations during the current and capital repair of wells, to inform employees on site with the help of light and noise alarms about the occurrence of a dangerous situation, to recognize on video cameras the presence or absence of personal protective equipment on employees, to classify incidents by degree of criticality, to form basic reports on incidents.
As a result of the project realization by the end of 2024, the developers plan to reduce the number of injuries and accidents at work, including through preventive and preventive measures, minimize the human factor, have relevant statistics and analyze incidents for further analysis, increase the discipline of employees to occupational health and safety compliance (increase the culture of occupational health, develop habits of health and safety compliance).
