On August 9, 2023, the Board of JSC NC “KazMunayGas” approved the “Rules for the arrangement, conduct and accounting of pilot testing of new types of techniques, technologies, materials and equipment for oil and gas production of the Group of companies of JSC NC “KazMunayGas” (Minutes No 37 dated August 09, 2023).
The new edition of the approved Rules establishes a unified procedure for accounting applications from potential suppliers, organizations and conducting pilot testing in KMG’s oil and gas production assets.
The document is designed to streamline the arrangement, conduct and monitoring of the PT on new techniques, technologies, materials and equipment, conducting bench and laboratory tests, a comprehensive analysis of the results of the conducted PT and further solutions for the industrial implementation and replication of new techniques and technologies.
It should be noted that according to the new Rules of PT, as part of the digitalization of business processes in JSC NC “KazMunayGas” to improve the interaction between a potential supplier, subsidiaries and affiliates of KMG, KMG and KMGE, the Internet portal “PT Center” has already been put into operation, which operates on the principle of a single window in a digital format, where the central role is assigned to “KMG Engineering” LLP is a specialized center of scientific and technical support in JSC “KazMunayGas”. In particular, KMG conducts work on reviewing incoming applications from manufacturers and/or representatives of new techniques, technologies, materials, equipment and chemicals, analyzing the applicability of new techniques and technologies at the fields of KMG and its subsidiaries and affiliates, supporting the PT and confirming the results of the conducted PT.
The flowchart of the regulated order of the “Rules for conducting PT” is fully synchronized with the algorithm of the operation of the Internet portal “PT Center”. Thus, KMG Engineering is actively involved in the implementation of the KMG Corporate Business Transformation Strategy and significantly contributes to the optimization and coordination of business processes interaction between KMG and its subsidiaries and affiliates.
